About Flow2 - From iPad Pioneers to AI-Powered Experiences

We've been building this for 12 years.

In 2012, when the iPad was still new and everyone was talking about consumption, we were thinking about creation. What if you could hold a presentation in your hands? Walk around a room with it? Hand it to someone?

That insight became Flowboard - interactive presentation software built from the ground up for touch. Not PowerPoint crammed into a tablet. Something fundamentally new.

We launched in April 2013. Teachers used it for interactive lessons. Real estate agents built property walkthroughs. Museums created touchscreen exhibits. Sales teams carried their entire pitch on an iPad.

We renamed to FlowVella and grew to Mac, then the web. We found our sweet spots: kiosks in museums and trade shows, classrooms, enterprise sales. Over 700,000 users. Millions of presentations viewed.

Now we're going back to our roots - and forward into AI.

Why "Flow2"?

While the company became FlowVella, the Flowboard document - the interactive, multimedia canvas - never went away. It’s been the core format powering every presentation, kiosk, and interactive experience we’ve built for over a decade. Flow2 takes that proven document format and reimagines it for the AI era.

The platform

Flow2 isn't a weekend hackathon project. It's built on the FlowVella engine - battle-tested in:

The team

Flow2 is built by a small, focused team in Seattle led by Brent Brookler - a self-taught developer with 30+ years building software. From early web development in 1994, to pioneering mobile apps (the American Idol text voting system, early iPhone apps for major brands), to FlowVella and now Flow2.
