Israel Claims Kill of Iran's Intelligence Minister
Israel says it killed Iran's intelligence minister, the third senior Iranian official assassinated since the US-Israel war on Iran began February 28. Iran retaliated with missile barrages hitting Israel (killing two in Ramat Gan) and targeting Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, and Bahrain. Israel announced it will now let its military target any senior Iranian official without political approval.
Day 19 of a widening Middle East war with no off-ramp in sight — and oil at $102/barrel.
Trump Official Resigns Over Iran War
Joe Kent, director of the National Counterterrorism Center and an Army vet with 11 combat deployments, posted his resignation letter on X. He wrote he "cannot in good conscience" support the war. He's the first senior Trump official to break ranks. The White House fired back, calling his claims "false."
Cuba Goes Dark: Full Island Blackout
Cuba's entire electrical grid collapsed Monday amid a US-imposed oil blockade and crumbling infrastructure. Power is being slowly restored, but blackouts of 16-20 hours remain common. Trump mused publicly about "taking Cuba."

Nvidia announced DLSS 5, promising neural rendering that makes games look photorealistic in real-time. But the gaming community pushed back: DLSS 5 uses generative AI to create pixels, not just upscale them. Coming fall 2026.
